If the mega deal with Estee Lauder comes through, Freida would become the firm's first Indian face.
"Since the cosmetic giant Estee Lauder hasn't commented about it, i am not in a position to make any comment," said Freida's representative Anirban Das Blah, CEO of Globosport India.
In the five weeks since Slumdog's Oscar triumph Freida's marketability has soared 1,000 percent, making her one of India's biggest stars overnight despite seldom having been in a Bollywood film.
"This is unheard of," said Mr Adarsh. "Even Hollywood stars are not big news in India.
"To make a name for yourself here you've traditionally had to work very hard in Bollywood first. Freida has changed the rules of the game. The success of Slumdog has catapulted her straight into the big league."
In the five weeks since the Oscars the one-time struggling model has been among the most photographed faces at Milan Fashion Week and has graced the covers of Vogue and Cosmopolitan magazines.
