Dune Kossatz, a 35-year-old model and actress from East London, has been named Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa.The announcement came early Sunday morning at a glittering event at the Montecasino entertainment complex in Johannesburg.
Among the 16 finalists of the Miss Bollywood IPL contest, Kossatz garnered the most Internet votes to emerge as the winner. A part of her prize package includes screen tests for a movie with Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan .As the winner, Kossatz was crowned a specially made tiara from Gitanjali Jewellers containing gold, silver, diamonds and other precious stones. She was crowned by former Miss Universe Michelle McLean of South Africa.
Kossatz has not kept secret the fact that she’s not seen any Bollywood movies yet, but said she was going to start doing so immediately. She also promised to start learning Hindi.
The first runner-up of the contest was Johannesburg’s Business Marketing graduate Genna Cloud, 24, who was named First Princess by the panel of judges. Dunay Nortje, the second runner-up, was crowned Second Princess.
Before the crowning of the beauties, former Miss Universe of South Africa, Michelle McLean, performed to the music of Caribbean music legend Eddy Grant. Even IPL supremo Lalit Modi joined in to shake a leg.
